Well the new year has begin and it is time to start planning your hunts and horseback trips in the great San Juan NF. We will be at two shows this year so far. The first one is at the International Sportsmen Expo in Las Vegas, NV on Feb, 2-4 and the next one will be Louisiana Sporstmen Show in Gonzales, La. on March 9-11. We look forward to see you there.

This morning woke up to a heavy snow coming down. That will get the elk moving. If any of you hunter are starting to plan for next year, please give us a call. The 2nd rifle season was good and some nice elk were bagged. We wish all of you a great year.

The 2nd rifle season has come to an end. There were several nice bulls taken, which I am waiting on pictures, and the hunters had a good time. I wish all my hunters have a safe trip home and start planning your next years hunt. Thank you all for coming. 

Well the first rifle season is over with much sucess. One camp bagged a cow and a small bull, but passed on many others. The other camp came down with a small bull also. We also packed out two nice bulls for some folks from Ark. They killed a 5x5 and 6x6. which were really nice. The elk are still bugling and moving around in the mountains.
